Misunderstandings

So it happens.
It dies down.
I feel like a fool tossed around.

Little words sprout bigger meanings.
Insignificant actions ignite latent deliberations.
Appear in quiet contemplation
Advocating deeper thought.
Not wrong.
Yet not quite right.

Significant fancies change
Glamour to suit Insignificance.
And molehills become mountains.
While mountains quiver in their earth.

Pick at the stones until
Flesh appears and blood runs free.
And then you realise the wronged.
You stop, the wound remains,
It has healed.
It is a scar.

The sour flame of jealousy
Dwindles to the actor's Face of Folly.

But say what you will.

People never change
They remain upon your stage
The spark of the thespian artifice
Flames throughout the eternity
That rendered in your Art
Is made into your life.

First draft written in late July. Poem brought about by the period known as Goldfish In Ice.
