There's nothing left to write. I have said everything I wish to say. I have quoted everything I wish to quote from. I have not accepted what I should accept, but that is my obdurate being of impatience in control. I alter, I multiply, I shift between states. As Elizabeth Bishop once wrote, "the art of losing's not too hard to master". I lose myself all the time. I just need to regain what was lost; or replace it.
